Working through both Old and New Testaments he shows the way in which God carefully paved the way for His master plan of the church with a series of types, or foreshadowings, of what was to eventually come to pass. The differing aspects of the church relative to time and space, and life and death, are outlined, with everything coming together in a full and biblical definition of what a church actually is.
