This talk demonstrates from the New Testament that true and genuine believers can indeed shipwreck their faith by getting into serious unrepentant sin and/or error and fall away. This is something that certain theological systems strongly deny can happen, maintaining that those who do fall away could not have been true believers in the first place, and were therefore not born again and so never actually saved. When such an important tenet of a major theological system can so easily be shown to be in disagreement with both Paul the Apostle and other New Testament writers, then it’s surely time to look at the whole subject again, but from a somewhat different angle.
