DIY has become one of the great phenomena of the twentieth century and whether you’re decorating a room, or building a garden shed, just about anyone who is anyone nowadays has a crack at it themselves. In this talk Beresford shows that whereas this is fine when talking about practical work, DIY Christianity is actually the last thing the Bible teaches. There are two ways of living the Christian life: you can let the Lord do it through you, or you can do-it-yourself. The way the Lord works in us to bring us out of what discipleship isn’t, and into what it really is, is the main point of this important and light-hearted talk.
